Sejarah Boneka Danbo

Danbo atau Danboard adalah salah satu karya yang terinsipirasi dari tokoh yang diciptakan komikus serial manga asal Jepang yaitu Azuma Kiyohiko. Danboard sendiri berarti kertas karton board,atau "danboru" yang berarti kardus.

Azuma Kiyohiko merupakan komikus asal Jepang yang lahir pada 27 Mei 1968.Karyanya yang terkenal yaitu Azumanga Daioh. Selain itu Ia juga pernah terlibat dalam pembuatan manga Tenchi Muyo dan Yotsuba To!.

Kemunculan danbo pertama kali ini berasal dari salah satu chapter komikdari Yotsuba To!. Ketika tokoh utama,yaitu Yotsuba pergi ke kamar kakaknya yang sedang mengerjakan suatu proyek waktu senggangnya dan melihat teman kakaknya yang sedang memakai baju robot yang terbuat dari kardus. Dari situlah
awal mula boneka danbo mulai dikenal oleh masyarakat. Diceritakan dalam serial manganya, boneka danbo ini dapat bergerak jika ada yang memasukkan koin ke dalam mulutnya.
